We all know that we have a tradition of planting a seedling to the grave of each person we bury. This way, the graveyards do not remain as places where the lovers keep their beloved ones, but also become places peaceful groves where people live. As seen in this example, planting seedlings is not only a continuity of representation of love but also a continuity of nature and environment. Planting seedlings proves the efforts to protect and maintain the balance in the nature and the love and care shown for environment.
Setting out from the desire to reunite with trees, groves and forests, with the motto of ‘Everyone Should Have One Planted Tree’, Umut Forests Project is being realized by our Foundation.
Forestation Efforts
The first one of these projects have began in 1994 by forestation of the region allocated to Umut Foundation in Antalya Environment Platform Forestation Area. The second project has been launched by foresting the area allocated by the Ministry of Forests in Ankara. With this project which has been launched in the first year (1994) of our losing Umut Önal, 2500 seedlings were planted and the 1st Umut(Hope) Forest has been formed.
The second Hope Forests Project has been realized again by planting 2500 seedlings. Our Foundation will form different forests in various parts of our country each year. Those who want to plant a seedling through us will transfer 100.000 TL to our bank account or they can directly apply our Foundation. To each person who contribute to this project, a ‘Umut(Hope) Forest Certificate’ is being given. Many individuals and organizations buy as much certificates as they want in special days and use these certificates as greeting cards. This way, each certificate contributes to our objective of planting seedlings. We await your contribution.

Our certificates costs 5.YTL and are prepared by name. It is possible to obtain them from our Foundation against receipt, or to send the amount including post fee to Vakıflar Bankası Mecidiyeköy Branch Account No. 2024281.
