“Scientific Research and Analysis” Contest by Umut Foundation with the subject of "Awareness of Citizenship and prevention of discrimination”
The subject and topic of the 16th Traditional Awarded Contest on 28 September Individual Disarmament Day to be held this year is determined as “Scientific Research and Analysis” that will cover economical, social, legal and criminological studies regarding the "Awareness of Citizenship and prevention of discrimination”.
The scientific studies with the main subjects of economical, social, legal and criminological studies regarding the "Awareness of Citizenship and prevention of discrimination” and scientific researches on the subjects such as violence, hate discourse, racism, rage, offence fear, prevention of fear, role of media and culture industry, guns and individual disarmament, issues related to these and solution suggestions will be evaluated within the scope of the contest.
While Umut Foundation is carrying out activities in order to contribute to the growth of our youth as individuals who internalize the supremacy of law and trust in, who respect the environment and humanity who favor peaceful, non-violent means in resolving their conflicts and problems and are conscientious citizens, it handles the individual disarmament subject within this frame.
Therefore, with the scientific researches and analyses regarding the "Awareness of Citizenship and prevention of discrimination” within the frame of the main topic and the related sub-topics mentioned above, it is targeted to put forward different points of view by means of an interdisciplinary approach and determine solution suggestions by scientific means.
The academicians who continue or completed their studies on disciplines such as law, sociology, forensic medicine, anthropology, philosophy, psychology and social psychology, criminology, communication sciences, media and the researchers who are awarded with master and bachelor degrees from the institutes of the universities that covers the said disciplines may participate into this contest.
